The Municipal Ecology Office is planning to provide Puerto Peñasco residents the possibility of greening-up their surroundings, through adopting a plant via a municipal plant project.
Ecology Director Marcia Ortega Morales detailed along with the city’s recycling plan, they will be encouraging the development of more green areas via the municipal plant project. Local residents will be able to obtain plants through program, but can also donate different types of flora.
The Municipal Municipal Garden will be next to the Permanent Recycle Collection center on Ave. Coahuila (behind City Hall), which has been in place since late January of this year.
Ortega Morales emphasized both the Recycling Collection site and the Municipal Garden aim to promote a culture of respect for our surroundings while contributing to environmental sustainability
