Mighty Mimi on fire at CONADE 2021 Games

Puerto Peñasco weightlifter Adbeel Noemí “Mimí” Rodríguez Lugo, along with fellow athletes from the Sonora women’s delegation, have had another brilliant showing at the National CONADE 2021 Games in Monterrey, Nuevo León.  On Tuesday, June 29th, they collected seven gold medals and two silvers at the 2021 Games, while the day before they had earned 6 gold and 5 bronze.

Noamí “Mimi” Rodrigues took home three gold medals while Ana Paola Valenzuela collected two golds and a silver. Similarly, Perla Covarrubias and Andrea Gastélum each won gold, while Melissa Véjar took home silver.

Mimí solidified her strength and was crowned in the 87 kilogram Sub20 division by earning three gold medals with lifts of 102 in snatch and 127 in clean and jerk, for a total of 229 kilos.
