For a second year, Puerto Peñasco will celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day activities via virtual feed online rather than with crowd in front of City Hall in light of ongoing Covid protocols.
City Secretary Terencio Gutiérrez Valenzuela detailed the traditional “Grito de la Independencia” on the evening of Sept. 15th will be aired on the City’s Facebook site: Gobierno de Puerto Peñasco, noting this year’s activities will not include artistic presentations or Fireworks.
Similarly, the 3rd City Address of the present administration will be aired online on Sept. 14th, as well as the inaugural ceremony for the incoming mayor, which will take place from the Municipal Auditorium on Sept. 16th with a limited audience of officials and press.
