After a hugely successful inaugural event in January, today, Feb. 19th, marks the continuation of events at the Thunder on the Beach Raceway Track. Banners, billboards, and posters of Thunder of the Beach events have been decorating Rocky Point for quite some time now, plus Thunder on the Beach cars made a terrific appearance in the 1st Carnaval Float parade held yesterday, Feb. 18th. Today’s event, February 19th, is heralded as the “Sunday Sand Drags” with gates set to open at 10 a.m. and races later on in the day. If it’s anything like the Sand Drags in January, be prepared for a spectacular sunset just over the track set up near the Reef on Sandy Beach and roaring fun through the night. Entrance $5 USD or 60 pesos and kids under 12 are free). No ice chests folks, No hieleras! 
Upcoming dates on the Thunder on the Beach schedule include:
March 24th 2012 Monster trucks coming from the USA to put on a first ever show, this is a night time show on Saturday night. It will include Mud Bogs so bring your 4×4 for some extra fun, details and sign up form to follow!
