While Nov. 20th commemorates the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920), the official day off will be Monday, Nov. 18th at which time area schools, athletic clubs, and organizations will take part in the annual Revolution Day parade along Blvd. Juarez.
This day commemorating the Mexican Revolution recognizes when Mexico, after being a free and sovereign country for 100 years, rose up against the dictatorship of Porfirio Diaz and the extravagance of the upper classes. Read more here: Mexican Revolution Day ¡Viva la Revolución!
