We’re just about a week away from the XXIV edition of RCPM’s Circus Mexicus (June 11-14, 2015)!! Here’s some tips for the trip!
- Although VIP tickets are sold out, there are still GA tickets available for purchase at www.circusmexicus.net including Friday and Saturday only tickets as well as the discounted Friday and Saturday combo ticket. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets this week because discounted advance ticket sales will end MONDAY JUNE 8 at NOON AZ time. Door sales will pick back up in Peñasco beginning Wednesday June 10th. For ticket sales and information, check out www.circusmexicus.net/tickets
- 2015 marks the 24th Circus Mexicus concert by Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers since 2000 and it will likely break the attendance record. “We’re all really excited about playing both Friday and Saturday nights for possibly record crowds,” according to Roger Clyne. “We can’t wait to plug in! We’re going to start set 1 on Friday night with Mexico and finish set 2 on Saturday night with Nada. We’ll fill both set lists with different songs from our catalog and we’ll have some of our friends joining us on stage for some surprises.”
- Organizers will be bringing a BIGGER stage this year for Friday and Saturday nights than in years past to provide the best experience possible. They’ve also bumped up the orders for fireworks, beer, tacos and bathrooms!
- Shows on Thursday and Sunday at JJ’s Cantina are included with any Circus Mexicus ticket purchase as well as at Banditos throughout the weekend. Band line ups with show times and Will Call information are available at www.circusmexicus.net/lineup
- Previously known as the Hot Dog & A Smile to help raise funds for Esperanza Children’s Home just north of town, this year there will be a trailer made available for DONATIONS THURSDAY and FRIDAY at BANDITOS before the traditional trek to Esperanza on Saturday. There will also be a passing of a “Sombrero” for monetary donations during the weekend to help raise funds for the Children’s Home. This coupled with the efforts of our RCPM fan based Facebook Group where you can find “The Wish List” for Esperanza para los Niños will bring about another successful year of giving. If you’re interested in joining our Facebook group and/or donating please join us at: “Wish List” for Esperanza para los Niños
- Line up change – Due to unforeseen circumstances, Harry Luge Band will not be able to perform at Circus Mexicus this year. Banana Gun has just confirmed to replace Harry Luge for their sets at Banditos. They will also play a late night set Saturday night on the Banditos outdoor stage following The Black Moods.
