Based on favorable comments from travelers over the past year who have enjoyed their stay at the resort, Trip Advisor granted Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort a 2020 Travelers’ Choice accommodations award.
Héctor Vázquez el Mercado, General Manager of Las Palomas, remarked the distinction, which was also granted to several local restaurants, was based on a year’s worth of evaluations provided by visitors, pre-pandemic.
Vázquez del Mercado, who is also president of the local Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV), indicated Travelers’ Choice award-winners are recognized for having consistently received excellent reviews from travelers, placing Las Palomas among 10% of hotels across the globe to hold this award.
“The entire team of Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort is proud to be distinguished with Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice award, and to be recognized for a seventh year in a row as the best resort hotel in Puerto Peñasco,” he underscored.
The General Manager of Las Palomas stated this distinction is an incentive both for the local brand, as well as Puerto Peñasco as a tourist destination as a whole, and particularly given the impact on global tourism due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Kanika Sonia, Trip Advisor Chief Commercial Officer, stressed winners of the 2020 Travelers’ Choice Award should be proud in having received this distinguished recognition, noting, “Though 2020 has been a difficult year for travel and hospitality, we want to celebrate achievements in the industry and that those earning the award are loved by travelers given their exceptional service and quality.”
Sonia stated Travelers’ Choice winners are not only deserving, but also a source of inspiration for travelers as the world begins to once again venture out through the reopening of the economy and tourism.
