As part of activities leading to the 90th Anniversary celebration of the founding of Puerto Peñasco, event organizers have launched a call for those interested in the city’s history to take part in a symposium to be held July 3rd – 7th, 2017, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium.
Participation is open to individual or shared presentations by chroniclers, anthropologists, archaeologists, artists, teachers, historians, city founders and pioneers, schools, narrators, poets, writers, students, researchers, associations, businesses, co-ops, institutions, neighborhoods, public officials, social groups, and the public in general – whether local or from abroad – focused on the main topic of “the history of Puerto Peñasco from its origins through initial decades of development.”
Guidelines:
Send a one page written summary (letter size, Arial 12 point font, double spaced) of the presentation to: arteculturapp@gmail.com with a cc: to miernina@gmail.com before June 21, 2017 (deadline 11 p.m.)
The presentation itself should be minimum 8 – maximum 10 pages (letter sized, Arial 12 point font, double spaced)
Clearly include the following:
Title of presentation, name of presenter, topic, cell number, home or office phone number, address, email(s), indicating whether or not you represent a certain institution or organization.
Results of the call for presenters will be announced June 25, 2017 at 11 a.m.
