57th Annual Fishing Derby dates of the Cholla Bay Sportsmen’s Club (CBSC)
This weekend marks the 2nd (of 4) dates for the 57th Annual Fishing Derby of the Cholla Bay Sportsmen’s Club. The first weekend, back on March 15-18, was able to reel in some good times before the winds picked up on the 3rd & 4th days…so we’re hoping for smooth sailing and fishing now in April. The derby is open to everyone, with adult and junior categories as well as boat and shore categories. There are 17 different types of fish eligible for prizes. Entry fee for the derby is $25 for adults and $10 for juniors for all four weekends or weekend only for $10 per weekend. There is also a target fish each weekend, where the largest target fish wins a rod and reel that weekend. Sign up for the derby at the Radio Room by the scale on the beach in front of JJ’s Cantina (right near the “Offical Scales” – or as I call them the Oh Fickle scales).
Upcoming dates in May are May 10th-13th, and May 24th – 26th with Awards & a Fish Fry set for May 27th.
Hi I was in Rocky Point for the fishing derby last weekend. We had a great time fishing and being in Mexico. Is there anyway you could send me a T-shirt with the pirate skull with cross poles on back preferrably the clay color XL
Thanks
Steven
