The local Rocky Point chapter of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Food Industry (CANIRAC) will be hosting the 1st Festival del Marisco (SeaFood Fest) on Saturday, Nov. 19, starting at 2 p.m. at the Plaza del Camarón (Shrimp Plaza). The Plaza del Camarón, located across the street from City Hall at the intersection of Blvd. Juarez and Freemont, will provide the perfect setting for local establishments to present the best in seafood cuisine from all across Rocky Point. As recently reported in one of Rocky Point’s popular English newspapers, JoinUs, the local CANIRAC is reemerging and restaurateur Martin Martinez has been sworn in as President of the group.
There are 20 restaurants participating in the event, along with their best seafood dishes! A $100 peso ticket will be good for tastes at 10 different stands. There will be music, and the Art for Nothing group painting on site.
