The Youth Sports Foundation (YSF) of Puerto Peñasco will hold its 3rd annual Major League Coaches Clinic this upcoming weekend (Jan. 12-14), which for the first time will also include a Golf Tournament and Dinner. This First Golf Tournament, which YSF Director Rick Busa tells us he hopes will become an annual event, will be held on Friday, Jan. 13 at The Links Golf Course at the Las Palomas Resort.
Registration for the YSF Golf Tournament will begin on Friday, Jan. 13 from 8 – 8:30 a.m. and the cost is $65 US per person. The scramble format tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Each team is slotted to be paired with one of the Major League Baseball coaches in town for the clinic. There will be prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive. Plus, plans include cocktails and a silent auction to follow golf.
This promises to be a great way to continue promoting the goals of the YSF and proceeds from all the weekend events will go to their ongoing programs of helping to buy sports equipment for the children of Puerto Peñasco.
