For a fourth year in a row, the Peninsula Golf Course at Mayan Palace of Grupo Vidanta will welcome amateur golfers from across the U.S. and Mexico for this weekend’s Uniting Nations Cup. The international tournament, to be held May 15 – 18, 2014, will begin with an evening cocktail on the 15^th at 6 p.m. in the Lobby of Mayan Palace.

Since it began, the Uniting Nations Cup has striven to promote bonds of friendship between both countries through an exciting weekend of golf. This year’s emblem “Where Fellowship and Talent Come Together” highlights this goal. At the first Uniting Nations Cup, the U.S. team was victorious while Mexico earned the Cup in the tournament’s second year. In 2013, the U.S. regained the Cup title and all are excited to see what will happen this weekend.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II, Peninsula is one of the most spectacular golf courses in Mexico,  situated on a peninsula with the Sea of Cortés on one side and a peaceful estuary on the other. Torneo Uniting Nations  15 – 18 de mayo

Para el cuarto año consecutivo, el campo espectacular de Peninsula en Mayan Palace del Grupo Vidanta será sede del torneo de golf, Uniting Nations Cup, que se llevará a cabo del 15 al 18 de mayo del presente, empezando con un coctel de bienvenida a las 6 p.m. en el lobby de Mayan Palace.

Desde sus inicios, el torneo Uniting Nations ha pretendido fomentar los lazos de amistad entre ambos países por medio de un emocionante fin de semana de golf. El lema del torneo este año, “Una experiencia de fraternidad y talento”, fortalece este objetivo. Durante su primer año, en 2011, el equipo de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica resultó victorioso aunque México regresó en 2012 a tomar la corona. En 2013, nuevamente el equipo de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica retomó la victoria entonces todos esperan con ansia para los resultados del 2014.

El evento, marca un hito en la historia de Golf de nuestro país, y será jugado entre equipos de México y los Estados Unidos en el Club de Golf Península; un escenario de alto reconocimiento internacional, por ser uno de los más bellos campos de Golf en México y por ser uno de los Clubes afiliados a la AGA.
