This week’s rundown sponsored by Banditos
What seems to be a more and more common remark, this is yet another of THE weekends to be in Puerto Peñasco with just about something for everyone! Plus, April 30th is Children’s Day across Mexico so there’s lots of activities for kids, and don’t forget May 1st is Labor Day in Mexico (yes, bank holiday) so it’s a 3-day weekend …and don’t forget 5 de mayo is around the corner! So, let’s get to it and run down the weekend!
Getting to and around town
* When coming from Sonoyta, veer right toward Laguna del Mar to meet up with Coastal Highway (turn left at stop sign after railroad tracks – hang on tight over those tracks) and toward Sandy Beach. Fastest route to condos along Sandy Beach and Cholla Bay.
* Coming into town – another option toward Sandy Beach area is to turn right at first stop light on Blvd. Samuel Ocaña. Continue up to Constitución (stop light), turn left and this will direct you back to Calle No Reelección (near Rosy’s) – turn right on Reelección and continue out toward Sandy Beach.
* Toward Las Conchas and east sides of town – turn left on Blvd. Josefa at first stop light (Blvd. Juarez detour). *Turn right at second stop sign to double-back to finished part of Blvd. Juarez and into town – or continue on Blvd. Josefa to eventually meet up with Blvd. Fremont
* IMPORTANT! New road work on Blvd. Juarez along stretch from railroad tracks near Circle K, past City Hall, and up to anchor heading toward port. *Detour on East side of Shrimp Plaza (road in front of Fire Department)*
