Repairs are progressing on the sinkhole that occurred at Blvd. Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez and Calle León de la Barra about two weeks ago. OOMAPAS (Water Department) director Héctor Acosta Félix remarked despite some difficulties that have arisen, they anticipate completion of the work within about 15 days.
Acosta Félix indicated there has been 30% progress on repairs to the principal sewage collector at the site. The sinkhole itself apparently was a result of a collapse of pipes and a manhole.
