On Saturday, October 28th, the Puerto Peñasco San Peregrino Association held their 12th Annual Walk against Cancer, which is meant to raise awareness to self-checks and promoting physical activity.
Just over 300 people, among them children, teens, and adults, gathered for the march which extended along Blvd. Juarez from the Health Center to the malecón. Along the way, a banner proclaiming “leaving a print” led the march, along with a flurry of pink ribbons.
Association president Trinidad Monteón expressed her satisfaction with the ongoing participation in the annual event. As has become tradition, the march ended on the malecón with a luminaria lighting ceremony and prayers for those impacted by cancer.
