Feb. 19, 2013. Puerto Peñasco Mayor Gerardo Figueroa Zazueta recently viewed the executive project of the city’s future Home Port, presentation of which was led by international business consortium Bermello Ajamil and presided over by businessman Luis Ajamil.
With Javier Tapia Camou, State Coordinator of Tourism Promotion, on hand along with business leaders and officials from the Guaymas Port Administration, Figueroa Zazueta reiterated his administration’s interest in working on alternative actions in order to make this mega project a reality.
“I want to express thanks for the unrestricted support that Governor Guillermo Padrés has given my administration, thus my commitment to work together in order to make this project a reality, which will boost the development of Puerto Peñasco,” he indicated.
Mayor Figueroa expressed since he came into office his commitment has been to work intensely to change the image of Puerto Peñasco through infrastructure projects, which will benefit society and that will be attractive to both national and foreign investment.
Javier Tapia Camou noted, “We are at a point where there is no looking back on this project. The long desired Home Port is becoming a reality; at this time we have concluded soil mechanic studies and will continue to work on getting federal funds.”
The federal government authorized 191 million pesos this year for the first phase of the project, which in all will represent an investment of 600 million pesos. Work on the Home Port is to begin in 2013 and is estimated to conclude during 2015.
The COFETUR Coordinator stated in upcoming weeks Governor Padrés Elías will hold a meeting with the Secretary of Communications and Transport in order to polish details on what will be the first departure port of its kind in the country.
The Executive project of the Home Port includes a concept focused on integrating the rest of the destination, therefore the project is said to be an “Oasis in the Desert” as it encompasses a terminal that will allow tourists to enjoy commercial and relaxation activities.
The Bermello Ajamil consortium is the best positioned global company with respect to the development of this Home Port. More than 30 years experience in architectural projects and engineering of large-scale projects has earned it this position.

El empresario Luis Ajamil fue el encargado de exponerlo ante el titular de Cofetur
PUERTO PEÑASCO, 19 FEBRERO 2013.- El alcalde profesor Gerardo Figueroa Zazueta atestiguó la presentación del anteproyecto Ejecutivo del Home Port a cargo del consorcio internacional Bermello Ajamil que preside el empresario Luis Ajamil.
Ante la presencia del titular de la Comisión de Fomento al Turismo, Javier Tapia Camou, empresarios y funcionarios de la Administración Portuaria de Guaymas, el jefe de la comuna rocaportense reiteró el interés de su gobierno de trabajar en acciones alternas para hacer realidad esta magna obra.
Quiero agradecer el apoyo irrestricto que el gobernador Guillermo Padrés ha brindado a mi gobierno, por eso mi compromiso de trabajar todos juntos para hacer realidad este proyecto que vendrá a detonar el desarrollo de Puerto Peñasco”, indicó.
El profesor Figueroa Zazueta expuso que su compromiso desde que asumió la presidencia municipal fue trabajar de manera intensa para cambiar la imagen de Puerto Peñasco a través de obras de infraestructura que beneficien a la sociedad y que resulte atractiva a la inversión nacional y extranjera.
“Estamos en un punto donde no hay marcha atrás al proyecto. El Home Port es una realidad añorada por muchos años y en estos momentos hemos concluido el estudio de mecánica de suelo y posteriormente seguirá bajar los recursos federales”, indicó Tapia Camou.
El gobierno federal autorizó para este año recursos por 191 millones de pesos para la primera etapa del proyecto, de una inversión global estimada en 600 millones de pesos, cuya obra habrá de iniciar en el 2013 y se estima quedará concluida durante el 2015.
El coordinador de Cofetur informó que en las próximas semanas el gobernador Padrés Elías sostendrá una reunión de trabajo con el Secretario de Comunicaciones y Transportes con el propósito de afinar los detalles de lo que será el primer puerto de salida en su tipo en el País.
El anteproyecto Ejecutivo del Home Port incluye un concepto enfocado a integrar el resto del destino, de ahí que se hable de que esta obra significará un “Oasis en el Desierto”, pues se trata de una terminal que permitirá a los turistas realizar actividades de esparcimiento y comercial.
El consorcio Bermello Ajamil es la empresa mejor posicionada a nivel mundial en cuanto a desarrollos de Home Port se refiere y cuenta con más de 30 años de experiencia en obras arquitectónicas y de ingeniería en proyectos de gran escala que le han valido dicha posición.
