The Puerto Peñasco Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV) is carrying out several activities and investments through the end of 2021, as it continues to promote local attractions. The approximate 4 million pesos tagged for promotional campaigns (about $215,000 US) is meant to further generate tourism as Puerto Peñasco continues to recover due to the impact of Covid-19.
Héctor Vázquez del Mercado, OCV President, detailed end of the year campaigns have launched with a focus on Fall Break, which is mid-October.
The OCV President detailed the additional 4 million peso investment this quarter will bring tourism promotional efforts of the office to 12 million pesos this year (about $632,000 US). 70% of the end of the year campaigns focus on the Arizona, California, and Texas markets, while 30% is aimed at national markets in Baja California, Chihuahua, and Sonora.
