With the goal of bringing Christmas smiles to at least 200 children in the area of Col. San Rafael, the Palabras de Esperanza (Words of Hope) Community Center has launched a toy & candy drive now through Dec. 19th.
Loly Martinez, Community Center director, detailed their scaled back goal this year is to distribute 200 gifts, along with 200 bags of candy, to children in the community on Dec. 23rd. Due to Covid, the event will be broken up into groups of 30 children at a time between 9 am – 5 pm.
