A huge influx of tourism, improved services, fun, and perfect weather are what thousands of families and friends from Sonora, Baja California, Chihuahua, Sinaloa, and our neighboring state of Arizona can expect in Puerto Peñasco for Semana Santa 2019.
This seaside destination offers more than 6500 rooms at area hotels and resorts, as well as recreational services such as boat cruises, jet skis, banana boats, ultralights, four-wheeling and ATV options, among other activities across the city.
As a secure destination, and to prevent any incidents over the vacation period while making sure visitors have a pleasant stay and return home safely, there will be 150 State security agents along with municipal police and support from Federal agencies in town, along with emergency crews on neighboring highways.
“We expect this Semana Santa to bring in economic revenue of over 125 million pesos, which will be felt in the hotel, restaurant, and service industry sectors in tourist areas and across the community,” explained Héctor Vázquez el Mercado, President of the Puerto Peñasco Convention and Visitors Bureau.
