Off-roading across the desert surrounding Puerto Peñasco is nearly as synonymous with the area as cerveza and lime. This Saturday, May 2nd, the Old Boys Social Club in Cholla Bay invites everyone to hop into their favorite all-terrain wagon and join them for the 3rd Off-Road Poker Run starting in Cholla Bay. The Poker Run, organized by Rick & Helen Dahlstrom along with Kelly & Terri Ross of Renegade Racing, will include “bar” stops at some familiar watering holes as well as aptly named spots such as “Desert Bar” and “Train Wreck Bar” and kicks off with a mandatory drivers meeting 9 a.m. at the Cholla Bay Community Center. Darren Dodd of Rocky Point Speedway explains the growing in popularity OBSC Off-Road Poker Run also includes a stop at the Speedway where folk can take advantage of the course and jump around the dunes.
