In the comings and goings of Rocky Point, along with the on-again off-again nature we’ve become (somewhat) accustomed to during Covid, we were sad to hear Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers cancelled this weekend’s upcoming shows in town. Organizers remarked, “Despite hardships for many, the band feels public safety is a priority for our audience and the community of Puerto Peñasco.” We wish the RCPM crew well and will plan on the next safe and healthy gathering of peacemakers at the beach….January…? Still, there’s plenty of sunshine and several venues plan to have music this weekend, so let’s run down the weekend.
Please keep in mind Puerto Peñasco anti-covid health guidelines remain in effect, and the state of Sonora is listed at “high alert” (orange). The revised health alert map is expected sometime this weekend, so we’ll see where we go from there.
