The Home Port project of Puerto Peñasco will become a reality, assured new Sonoran Tourism Director Antonio Berumen Preciado during a recent visit to Puerto Peñasco. He furthered work will continue on the project in compliance with all regulations.
The state official, appointed under Governor Claudia Pavlovich’s cabinet, expressed the Home Port is one of the projects within the tourism sector where the most importance is being placed given its economic potential for Puerto Peñasco and the region. He indicated construction work would be stepped up along with review to ensure procedures meet all regulations, and particularly those of the environment.
Berumen Preciado sustained the Home Port, which is the first departure cruise port in the country and entails a federal investment of 600 million pesos, will be greater value to the Sea of Cortez coast.
