Mighty Mimí Rodríguez part of Mexican national team for 1st PanAmerican Youth Games
Puerto Peñasco weightlifter Noemí “Mimí” Rodríguez Lugo has been chosen to represent Mexico in the first PanAmerican Youth Games, to be held in Cali, Colombia from Nov. 25 – Dec. 5.
The Mexican Weightlifting Federation (FMLP) announced the ten-person selection of those who will represent the country in these first Youth Games. Their decision came after evaluating individual results from classifiers for the PanAmerican games held earlier in Manizales, Colombia. There, the Mexican delegation obtained first place as a team, and the maximum number of slots in order to head to the PanAmerican Youth Games.
