GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY!
Margarita Mermaids supports two wonderful charities this April. April 11th we dedicate to the Sharks on Wheels Tiburones who are a local wheelchair basketball team. They are currently in need of wheelchairs, equipment and medical care.
In 2019 & 2020 our efforts, along with others in our community, resulted in a safe van for the team to travel to the tournaments that are held all over Mexico. They now need a small trailer to pull behind the team van that will hold the wheelchairs and other equipment for the tournaments. Efforts are going great, but we are short $3000 US and hope to raise this money before June 1st, 2021.
Please contact Margarita Mermaids if you want to sponsor this team with their trailer costs. These men and young boys are outstanding people who are excellent role models for all of us and this wonderful community we call home, Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
Our April 11th Mike Nash Trop Rock Dinner Shows are dedicated to the Sharks, but we will be promoting them for the rest of the year as well!
April 23-26th South of the Border S.O.B. Music Festival
LIVE music afternoons and at night each day, plus daily raffles and a silent auction that will be held on Sunday April 25th on behalf of AIM/Steps of Love/CATI New Center for Children with Special Needs and children education programs. Let Kris at Margarita Mermaids know if you want to help.
May 2021 is dedicated to supporting the San Rafael Community Center and Children Medical, dentistry and eye care at our event featuring Sam Rainwater on May 8th for a night of 2 dinners shows, silent auction, raffles and the treat is we will have some of the families joining us for this event so you can meet them!
We will continue to raise donations for the community center throughout May!
June 5, 2021 is our last event for the summer and that will support the Food Drive for Esperanza Orphanage. They need supplies for fresh vegetables, meat, dairy, eggs during the months of July – September.
Please let me Kris know if you want to be a part of any of these events. They’d love to add you to the Mermaid Angels team of volunteers. We will set up a donation portal for these events and any donation is very much appreciated and will be directed exactly to the charity you select to support. If you want to support all of them; I will split your donation equally between the four charities.
