The Architectural Association of Puerto Peñasco recently held its 2016 training course for Project Directors (DRO), which included the participation of 16 associates.
The DRO certification, which is conducted each year, allows associated architects who complete the continuing training hours, and who participate in the association, to remain in good standing and to serve as Project Directors within the municipality. It is important to note these Project Directors (DRO certified) are indispensable for City approval of construction licenses.
Conferences during the course included: Concrete Technology, presented by Engineers from the La Farge – Holcim group; Realities of the Real Estate Market in Puerto Peñasco, led by Rommel Bustamante, President of the local chapter of the Mexican Association of Professional Realtors (AMPI); and the Impact of Tax Reform on Small to Medium Businesses.
With training activities such as this, architects within the association are continually working to improve the standards of quality, as well as to encourage professionals who are more responsible in the services commercially offered.
