This Friday evening, Oct. 25th, the Lions Club of Puerto Peñasco will be holding a gala dinner and dance at Cocina de Ramón located within the Sonoran Sea Resort. The evening, which costs 200 pesos per person, begins at 8 p.m. and will include the crowning of the Club’s Queen. Such fundraising efforts of the Puerto Peñasco Lion’s Club help support programs including scholarships and assistance in acquiring discounts for health services, as well as efforts to provide vision screenings and eye glasses across the community. The next distribution of eyeglasses by the Lions Club is programmed for Nov. 30th, where 250 sets of glasses will be given out.
