Inmates at the Social Rehabilitation Center (CERESO) of Puerto Peñasco may better mitigate cold seasonal temperatures thanks to the donation of blankets, sheets, and towels on behalf of Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort.
The donation of 150 sets of each item were made to the CERESO as part of safety and crime prevention strategies under the broader “Citizens Shield” program. CERESO Director Jorge Alberto Argüelles Valdez indicated the donation would be of great assistance during the winter season, helping in part to prevent respiratory illnesses.
Argüelles Valdez thanked Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort Director Héctor Vázquez del Mercado for the donation, stressing the importance of social commitment to vulnerable parts of society on behalf of private organizations and companies.
