A meeting space of artists and writers came together at the reopening of the Friendly Dolphin in the Old Port on February 27th.
The terrace of the recently reopened restaurant was the spot for a book presentation of “Las Cartas de Lilith Genesis,” by poet Blanka Mendoza. Mendoza was well received by a group of friends among them fellow writers and painters.
During the bohemian evening, a painting exhibit was also on display featuring the work of Enoc Palafox of San Luis Río Colorado, accompanied by the music of event promoter Jesse Gerardo.
Presenters Myrna Rodriguez, Gastón Rochin, Julio Cesar Sarmiento, and Manuel Cuen all spoke during the book presentation, complemented my comments by those who took part in the fun afternoon.
“Las Cartas de Lilith Genesis” is an intimate gift the poet providers her readers, a space to present her poetry loaded with eroticism, passion, and love.
The recently published book has had various successful presentations among students and book lovers in San Luis Río Colorado and the region.
