It has been a warm one for sure this summer in Rocky Point! Believe it or not, Labor Day weekend is upon us! For many this means an “unofficial end” of summer and of course back-to-school…though Arizona folk have already been back in the classroom since early August (gasp!) For many around town, entering September means humidity is still hanging around the port for another few weeks and of course Mexican Independence Day on the 16th. September itself is known across the country as “mes patria” and colorful carts can be frequently spotted offering flags, sombreros, and folkloric dresses to any who stop by. September also means temperatures are nearer to cooling down and a whole slew of activities are about to take place in and around Puerto Peñasco, which can only mean it’s time to Rundown the Weekend!

Joy put on a great concert at El Tapeo Wine Bar on Aug. 16th and has been taking in the warm sands of Puerto Peñasco ever since. A great evening for sure! Come to Stacey Joy’s farewell Peñasco concert Sunday night. Last chance to watch her perform before she heads back to the states to record her new album.
