Boys and girls aged 2 to 12 are invited to participate in the 2nd annual Red Riding Hood Mini-Marathon where, besides having fun, they will be supporting the Jose Davalos “Casa Hogar” Home for the Elderly.
The mini-marathon will be held June 16th and is designed for children from ages 2 – 12; the race is three blocks long, and includes an obstacle course. Contestants will dress up in “little red riding hoods” as a wolf chases them to the finish line – grandma’s home (or rather all the “grandparents” at Casa Hogar).
All funds raised at the event will be destined to restoring a certain part of the retirement home recently damaged due to a water leak. Plus, there will be live music and snacks on sale after the medal ceremony.
