With the July 4th US Independence Day celebrations falling in the middle of the week, just by looking around Puerto Peñasco we can see that while a number of people took vacation days early on there are a number of people here in town for the weekend! Smack dab in the middle of the week, and smack dab in the middle of the playa on Wednesday night – the 4th – a wide array of fireworks could be seen out along Sandy Beach. We were lucky enough to get in on the nearly 10 minute fireworks display in front of Phase II of Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort and are happy to report that tonight, Saturday July 7th, the fireworks will light up the sky again with about a 20 minute display!! Not at Las Palomas? Though it would be fun to watch the display from the comfort of one of their lazy rivers, or in hanging out by the pool bar, the fantastic display will surely be visible from spots up and down Sandy Beach…over to the Malecon…or from atop Whale Hill. The display is set to begin around 8:30 p.m. so look over to Las Palomas around then and see the sky light up!
Then the question becomes, what firework displays will be in store for the evening of September 15th as we go into Mexico’s Independence Day on the 16th!!! You’ll just have to come back down to Puerto Peñasco to find out!
