Tis the season! Navidad is here once again. Traditionally in Mexico families gather for large Christmas meals on Christmas Eve and into the wee hours of the morning. That’s hardly enough time for Santa to sneak through amidst the tamales, turkey, ponche (hot fruit punch), and buñuelos (pastries). What’s that noise across the sea? Well, it’s music streaming out of local hot spots, not to mention opera filling the local city auditorium.
