Yay, mom! Yes, it’s Mother’s Day Weekend – 10 de mayo – día de la madre! Across Mexico and Latin America, Mothers Day is celebrated on May 10th and venerated even more so than Valentine’s Day or nearly as much as Dec. 12th (Día de la Virgen de Guadalupe) Mexico’s honoring of its patron saint. While not a bank holiday, many offices and of course schools are closed as everyone heads out to celebrate mom! This weekend also marks Mother’s Day celebrations in the US (May 13th)…so, ¡Viva Mamá!
