This week’s Rundown sponsored by Giuseppi’s on Blvd. Fremont – great place to take Mom for Sunday brunch!
Right up there with all major Mexican holidays, this weekend families across Puerto Peñasco will be celebrating one of the most venerated dates of the year… 10 de mayo – Día de la Madre. Curiously, this year U.S. Mother’s Day traditions fall on the same day so be sure to book a spot at your favorite seaside restaurant as it should be a busy time for area dining spots. It’s been a bit windy in town lately, but the temps couldn’t be better even though we’re hitting a “cold spell” (mid 70s to low 80s), so let’s get to it and run down this Mom’s Day Weekend!
Getting to and around town
– One lane on Blvd. Juarez when coming into town is OPEN. Remain alert at stop light as traffic is now more active at that intersection (linking Blvd. Juarez to Blvd. Josefa Ortiz and Blvd. Samuel Ocaña).
– IMPORTANT! Road work in front of City Hall is moving along quickly, though watch for detours in that area. Newly repaved and OPEN Calle Luis Encinas is a good bet to get to Old Port (road near docks – turn onto Luis Encinas from Calle 13 at stoplight).
