The 14th Rocky Point Rally™ is ready to receive thousands of bikers from the U.S., Mexico, and beyond! On the eve of kick-off day for the 14th edition of the Rocky Point Rally, preparations are all set for the greatest bike fiesta celebrated with folk riding in from spots such as Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Baja California, Sonora, and Chihuahua, to mention just a few.
The organizing committee reports this year’s expectations are for more than 6000 bikes, and there are lots of events planned for the coming days. These include the traditional Bike Parade (Sat., Nov. 8 @ noon), rock and country concerts from Kick-Off night through Saturday night’s Main Concert on the Malecón, plus rides, promos, and contests. A new thing for this year is the Main Event Concert to take place on the Malecón on Saturday evening, starting at 5 p.m. The event hopes to bring together both visiting bikers and locals, who can also take in a bike show and contests earlier in the day.
Organizers indicate the first big groups will start coming in on Thursday, Nov. 6th – though a lot of bikes have already been spotted around town for a few days. As opposed to past years, there appears to be a growing tendency for groups to stay in Puerto Peñasco for stays of up to 10 or more days so they can have more time to enjoy the city’s beaches either before or after the rally.
