Francisco Barrios “El Mastuerzo”, one of the founding members of 80s Mexican rock band Botellita de Jeréz, promoter and creator of honest and “naked” music, is coming to Puerto Peñasco to headline the 1st Rocktobeer CheveFest. This Saturday’s (Oct. 11) Chevefest will have more than five craft beer houses from Baja California on hand at the Laos Mar “amphitheater” next to El Tapeo. (Gates open at 7 p.m., beer tasting from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m., food and drink sales throughout the night).
The singer, songwriter, drummer, “rolero,” “persecuted, illegal, and fugitive insurrectionist,” as he sings in “Prohibido” will be accompanied by his group los Jijos de Maiz. Earlier in the evening, local groups RoJo and Los Hijos de Mauricio will also take the stage.
