Compassion Without Borders breaks ground on new animal shelter & clinic

There exist different strategies and organizations in Rocky Point to address the dire need of caring for stray dogs, as well as in providing access to animal health services.  One of these is the work of Compassion Without Borders, which broke ground at the end of March on construction of a center to house a free clinic for spaying and neutering, as well as animal shelter.

The new site, located along Blvd. Rafael Godoy, between Lazaro Cardenas St. and Juan Aldama St., in the Nuevo Peñasco neighborhood, represents the culmination of a 20-year dream, indicated Compassion Without Borders representative Christi Camblor.  Camblor noted the group has been working with the La Esperanza clinic locally for the past 13 years, providing over 30,000 pet sterilizations, vet services, and the rescue of thousands of dogs.
