This weekend’s rundown sponsored by our friends at Beach Bum on the malecon.
…and just like that, we are in the middle of January. Chilly weather has somewhat subsided, and now we turn to chili weather instead with the annual Chili Cook-Offs stirring up a storm in the Mirador this MLK weekend. We’ve also got music, music, and more music rollling through town as the scene in Rocky Point makes way for great local bands and upcoming gigs and concerts through the month. Be sure to get out and discover all the art Rocky Point has to offer as well with a Saturday morning stop at the Mermaids Arts Market in Shrimp Park, followed up by an afternoon strolling through the new Municipal Art Gallery (GAM) next to Plaza Colosio and taking in the “Tianguis Cultural” right on the plaza. Oh, did we mention the whales are back? There’s lots to do, so let’s run down the weekend and see what else is coming up
