The Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans (CEDO) continuously seeks individuals to help strengthen its environmental programs and goals. Nélida Barajas Acosta, director of the local non-governmental organization, invites interested individuals from the community to explore their volunteer program.
CEDO works to identify volunteers according to their interests, profile, availability, location, and personal needs in accordance with its institutional goals. Volunteers are also considered to be individuals who are seeking to do social service, a residency and/or an internship, or develop projects that contribute to CEDO’s objectives.
Barajas Acosta believes that people from Puerto Peñasco, and from across the region, should consider CEDO as a space to share their tremendous talents.
There is an ongoing call for CEDO volunteers, which can be found on the organization’s website: CEDO | Volunteer Program Interested individuals can also visit CEDO’s Las Conchas facilities in person (look for the whale skeleton).
