Castings for local “Americano” talent to act (and possibly extra) in the upcoming Chavez film begin today over at the OCV (Convention and Visitors Bureau) from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., and spots are also open for both Sunday and now Monday! Chavez (directed by Mexican actor Diego Luna, and co-produced by Gael Garcia Bernal and John Malkovich) retells the story of Cesar Estrada Chavez, Chicano activist during the 60s and 70s. The open casting call is for men and women, ages 25+ (men approx. 25 – 70 and women 25 – 50), 100% English (American accent preferred), and acting experience is not necessary.
