The José Dávalos home for the elderly, Casa Hogar, will be holding a “laundry day” this Saturday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., inviting residents and visitors to stop by and donate laundry products.
Given the successful results from similar campaigns in the past, the Board of Directors of the José Dávalos Casa Hogar launched the “laundry day” call requesting donations of: powdered detergent, liquid detergent, bleach, and clothes softener.
Board president Santiago Ruiz detailed “laundry day” will be Oct 15th, from 8 am – 5 pm where a collection spot will be set up on the back side of the the home located at the intersection of Blvd. Josefa Ortiz and Ave. Miguel Hidalgo.
Ruiz noted this type of campaign is done twice a year, and is of tremendous help for the home in assisting with laundry needs of the current 24 elderly residents at the home.
He indicated even after “laundry day”, cleaning products of all kinds are welcomed at any time.
