The Puerto Peñasco Business Expo 2012 will be held this Saturday, May 26th at Shrimp Plaza, which is to include the participation of more than 50 businesses and service providers. The Expo is sponsored by the local Section 51 of the Mexican Association of Professional Realtors (known in Spanish by its initials AMPI).
The 48 available spots for this year’s Expo were sold out within just one week. Stands include a variety of businesses representing services and products available in Puerto Peñasco comprising of doctors, dentists, the Ford agency, a mechanic, various restaurants, jewelers, a variety of artists, and much more. There will also be a number of prizes raffled off throughout the day including vacation stays at local resorts, dinners, boat trips, etc.
In addition, a variety of musical presentations will provide entertainment throughout the day with the likes of the Puerto Peñasco Youth Orchestra and the jazz group Agua de Coco. From 12 – 2 p.m., SOL FM 106.1 will have a live broadcast from the event of the Saturday program Rocky Point Ramblings. Plus, the star of the show “In movement with Gamaliel de la Rosa” (www.enmovimiento.tv) will be there filming and interviewing various Expo participants for a later program about the event.
Both the local DIF (Office on Integral Family Development) and the Fire Department are beneficiaries of the event. Part of the funds raised will also be used for the promotion of Puerto Peñasco through the Tourist Visitors Assistance (TVA) office, specifically in providing flyers, business cards, and signs highlighting the point that there is a free 24-hour bilingual service for tourism assistance in Puerto Peñasco. This service of the TVA has been available in town for the past three years.
The Puerto Peñasco Business Expo 2012 is a good opportunity for the public to learn about many local services and products, though business owners will also have the opportunity to form bonds with the business community. Real Estate agents of Puerto Peñasco, under the direction of local AMPI President Milton Félix, have done much to unite the business community of Puerto Peñasco and this event illustrates they continue at the forefront of efforts to promote this city as the best tourist destination.Both the 2006 and 2007 Puerto Peñasco Business Expos were successful and now, in 2012, AMPI has taken up the reigns to once again promote the business community of Puerto Peñasco, along with support from City Hall.
Expo-Negocios de Puerto Peñasco 2012
Con el patrocinio de la Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios, A.C., sección 51 (AMPI), el Expo-Negocios Penasco 2012 se llevara a cabo el 26 de este mes en la Plaza del Camarón. Con la participación de más de 50 negocios de servicios y productos.
En una semana se vendieron los 48 puestos disponibles en donde una variedad de los negocios representaran los servicios y productos que tenemos disponibles en Penasco. Estos incluyen doctores, dentistas, agencia Ford, un taller mecánico, varios restaurantes, joyeros, diferentes tipos de artesanías, y mucho mas. Se van a rifar premios que incluyen estancia en los desarrollos turísticos, cenas, paseos de barco, etc.
Habrá presentaciones musicales durante el día, como la orquestra juvenil de Puerto Penasco y el grupo musical Agua de Coco. Durante las horas de 12-2pm, SOL FM 106.1 estará trasmitiendo en vivo el programa de ROCKY POINT RAMBLINGS y la estrella del programa “En Movimiento con Gamaliel de la Rosa” (www.enmovimiento.tv ) estará ahí filmando y entrevistando a algunos de los participantes para después sacar un programa dedicado al evento.
Los grupos beneficiarios del evento son DIF y los Bomberos. Es una buena oportunidad de que el publico salga a conocer los negocios, pero también los empresarios podrán formar enlaces entre la comunidad empresarial. Una parte de los fondos recaudados serán utilizados para la promoción de este destino turístico, específicamente para dejar saber por medio de publicidad, volantes, tarjetas de presentación y espectaculares que Puerto Penasco cuenta con asistencia turística en español y en ingles las 24 horas del día, sin costo para el turista o visitante, servicio que se ofrece desde hace 3 años.
Los agentes inmobiliarios de Puerto Peñasco, bajo la dirección de presidente Milton Félix Reyes, han hecho mucho para unir a la comunidad empresarial de Puerto Peñasco y este evento muestra que siguen al frente del esfuerzo de promover esta ciudad como el mejor destino turístico. 
La Expo de Negocios de Puerto Peñasco tuvo mucho éxito en 2006 y 2007 y ahora en 2012 AMPI re-toma la rienda para promover la comunidad empresarial de Puerto Peñasco, junto con el apoyo del H. Ayuntamiento de Puerto Peñasco.
