This past Saturday, Nov. 10th, the Rocky Point Association of Architects held their fifth training course to both update and validate DRO certification (Directors Responsible for Projects). The event was presided over by the Association’s president, Arq. Pedro Lasso Martínez, while the City Deputy Director of Urban Development inaugurated the course on behalf of Mayor Figueroa.
Within the day-long conference, two conferences were presented in which architecture was discussed as a social response as well as a human commitment with the surroundings (historic, environmental, economic, and social), which are fundamental elements for the daily tasks of architects in our community. The first conference, imparted by Monica Escobedo Fuentas, with a Doctorate in Architecture, the theme was “Social responsibility in the Office of Projects and Construction.” The second conference was led by Architectur instructor Daniel Almada Ibarra, who presented three projects within all of which the use of bio-climate solutions has been considered to improve public spaces in the city.
To close out the course, Arq. Almada presented a project he did for the Cd. Obregon branch of the “San Peregrino” organization, which is dedicated to assisting those of limited means in confronting cancer. It is worth noting, in making the local architects’ association and all of its members proud, this project was honorable mention at the 2012 National Biannual Conference of Mexican Architecture, the highest award granted to Mexican architects. This project will be competing at the Global Biannual Architecture Conference in 2013.
It is also worth mentioning that with this effort, the Architect Association continues to sustain constant training and social participation in order to confront challenges that arise in our city.
Colegio de Arquitectos Rocaportenses participan en curso para DROs
El pasado Sabado 10 de Noviembre, El Colegio de Arquitectos Rocaportenses, llevo al cabo por quinta ocasion, su curso de capacitacion para actualizar y validar a los DRO (Directores Responsables de Obra), el Evento estubo presidido por el presidente del Colegio, Arq. pedro lasso Martinez y fue inagurado en representacion del Alcalde por el Sub-director de Desarrollo urbano.
Para tal efecto, se presentaron dos conferencias , de las cuales, se planteo la Arquitectura como una respuesta Social, asi como un compromiso Humano con el Entorno (Historico, Ambiental, Economico y Social) elementos fundamentales para el quehacer diario de los Arquitectos en nuestra comunidad. La primer conferencia por parte de la Doctora en Arquitectura Monica Escobedo Fuentes fue el tema “Responsabilidad Social en la Direccion de Obras y proyectos de Construccion”, la segunda presentacion estuvo a cargo del Maestro en Arquitectura Daniel Almada Ibarra, con la presentacion detres proyectos, en los cuales, se han considerado el uso de soluciones bioclimaticas, para el mejoramiento de espacios publicos en la ciudad.
Para cerrar el curso, El Arq. Almada presento un proyecto que realizo como aportacion a la organizacion “San Peregrino” dedicada a ayudar a enfermos terminales de cancer de escasoz recursos economicos, en Ciudad Obregon Sonora. Cabe mencionar y para orgullo de El colegio de Arquitectos y todos sus miembros, este proyecto resulto con mencion especial en la Bienal Nacional de Arquitectura Mexicana 2012, galardon maximo, que se otorga a los arquitectos Mexicanos, y el cual estara Compitiendo en la Bienal mundial de Arquitectura en 2013.
Cabe mencionar que con este esfuerzo los Arquitectos Colegiados, luchamos por mantenernos en constante capacitacion, y participacion social para afrontar los retos que se presentan en nuestra ciudad.
