“Prismatic Panoramic” equipment set up in the malecón by the Cooperative Estrella Jasay de Puerto Peñasco offers another attraction for families and tourists who visit the area, indicates Víctor Pórtela, project promoter.
These “binoculars” have a field range vision of up to seven kilometers, meaning people can view construction going on at the Homeport, as well as the condo complexes and the entire beach corridor, along with the natural beauty of the Sea of Cortez.
Pórtela explains use of the binoculars costs 5 pesos, with .25 of every peso going to help social programs of the local DIF presided over by Rafaela Félix de Figueroa.
“I’m grateful for the gesture of the Cooperative toward the DIF as undoubtedly in addition to representing yet another attraction for those who visit the Malecón, those who use the equipment will also be helping with actions we have been promoting to help those in need,” stated the local DIF President.
Under the motto “key your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground”, the Prismatic Panoramic is 1.62 meters tall (just over 5”), consisting of a steel frame with aluminum head, with movement of 285° horizontally and 35° vertically, and is made in Mexico.
It is worth noting this is the first of four planned panoramic viewers to be installed along the Malecon.
