The Cultura Arte Group in Puerto Peñasco shares with us that on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 19th and 20th, people will be coming together to build the largest Christmas Tree they can with recycled products, particularly with use of plastic bottles. The Green tree building event is being put on by Community Centers of City’s Social Development Office, by means of Recycle teacher Alma Yanes, along with support of the independent group Cultura Arte Peñasco and sponsors such as ECO HOPE, who will be providing more than half a ton in empty bottles.
Everyone is invited to participate! 100% family atmosphere with the goal of promoting a culture of ecology & the environment. Things will get going around 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19th at the Plaza La Madre located just next to the baseball stadium. Take items to be recycled, and to help with the construction! Plus, there will be recycle bins set up for plastic items through Jan. 6, 2012. (20 tires no longer in use are needed for the base).
