The TAP Royal International project to provide bus service between Phoenix and Puerto Peñasco, which began in September 2017, was suspended at the end of the year after TAP came under the new administration of Omnibus Mexico. Suspension of the service is expected to be temporary.
Jorge Valdez, Municipal Coordinator of Economic Development, explained communication will be made with the incoming management company to determine how the service may continue to function. He expressed confidence the Puerto Peñasco – Phoenix bus route would resume, taking into account overall positive acceptance of the service and a growing number of passengers prior to suspension.
