20 de noviembre Today marks the 104th Anniversary of Mexico’s Revolution. Just this past Monday, thousands of school children and local service groups took part in the traditional parade down Blvd. Juarez dressed in revolutionary garb, and many carrying protest signs – of the revolution more than 100 years ago, as well as protests to current realities in Mexico and the disappearance of 43 “Normalista” students from Ayotzinapa in central Mexico nearly a month ago. Across the country and the globe many chose today to dress in black and raise the call “They were taken alive, we want them back alive.”
