Boulevard Juárez completely OPEN to traffic!

With work wrapping up on Boulevard Juárez, the main street cutting through Puerto Peñasco will be completely open over Labor Day!

Following a year of paving city streets through the use of hydraulic concrete, not to mention installation of sidewalks, lighting, new underground sewage and electricity lines, as well as side street entrances and use of stamped concrete, Boulevard Benito Juárez is now fully open to traffic, extending up to stretches with six lanes.

The enormous improvement work, into which 66 million pesos were invested, is about 95% complete with remaining work to focus on sidewalks along the final stretch into the Old Port, as well as painting of traffic lines, and clean-up.

Part of this improvement project along Blvd. Juárez also included the installation of 1,000 lights from the beginning of the boulevard toward the center of town.

In another part of town, work to install sewage, potable water, and electricity networks along Boulevard Josefa Ortiz, as well as use of hydraulic concrete to pave stretches along Josefa, are expected to be delivered by September 10th. With this in mind, use of alternate routes in the area is recommended.
