April 24, 2017. Riders from across the region made their way along the Coastal Highway and streets of Puerto Peñasco for the XV Annual Cabalgata Costera, held April 22nd and 23rd. Entire families, men, women, and children from various spots in Sonora as well as Baja California enjoyed the two-day event from Los Pinos ranch and extending into a ride through the streets of Puerto Peñasco. Riders and their families took part in events including a traditional charrería rodeo, contests, selection of an ambassador, as well as the unveiling of a plaque in honor of Génesis Álvarez Hernández, an avid young rider who passed away this past year.
