Welcome, Summer! Ah yes, today is the first official day of summer despite basically feeling like it for over a month or so. Remember to stay hydrated, chill in the shade, and enjoy the possibly-not-so-cool-but-not-bathtub-temp-yet waters of the Sea of Cortez. What? 100°F? No, we haven’t done that dance yet – that’s coming next weekend we hear… So, let’s run down the weekend as we ease into Peñasco’s summer months, with humidity surely not too far behind. Road watch: Keep an eye out for summer potholes along the Peñasco-Sonoyta highway (southbound particularly between KM 26-29 and northbound around about KM 70-71).
Got baseball? Yes! Los Tiburones are in the middle of a three-game series vs. Centinelas of Mexicali (June 20, 21, 22). Next home games June 27, 28, and 29 vs. Freseros de San Quintin Games start around 7:30 and about 6 p.m. on Sundays. Check season schedule @ www.liganortedemexico.net
